The Daniel O Connell Weekend
This celebratory weekend will look at the life of this great Irish man and his religious and political influence, both nationally and internationally.
There are many events with leading Kerry academics discussing O’Connell’s influence on all aspects of our lives today; looking back at the past and the history of our great country at the time of O’Connell; and looking forward at how we can learn from our past and help build a better way forward. These leading academics will give more insight into the great power of people at this time and how O’Connell was able to lead his people. Each day there will be lectures and question and answer sessions.
The events will take place at the following Venues: Derrynane House and Cahersiveen Library, Derrynane, and Cahersiveen , Co. Kerry
