Since 2003 this triathlon  has gained a reputation both nationally and internationally as the toughest half iron distance race on the Irish triathlon circuit. The Lost Sheep Half Iron triathlon for the 11th year  will be the biggest race ever with space for 360 individual competitors.

This year the event starts with a 1900m swim in the scenic Kenmare Bay, followed by an 80km cycle out along the Beara peninsula. This journey takes competitors over two category one climbs, The race finishes after 21km out-and-back run, mostly on quiet country roads along the Kerry Way.

This triathlon is not for the faint hearted but is among the most beautiful you could compete in, receiving praised form many athletes over the years
