We’re a neighbourly bunch here at No. 35 Restaurant so Kerry tradition might determine us not to travel into Cork but when we got wind of a new craft beer from Eight Degrees Brweing Company we knew it was time to venture from Kenmare into “the Rebel County”.
Eight degrees brewing company produces a range of Irish craft beers among them is the classic yet modern Barefoot Bohemian Pilsner. Located in the beautiful Ballyhoura region of Ireland, Eight Degrees Brewing Company’s mission is to make modern interpretations of traditional Irish ale and lager styles providing distinctive malt and hop characteristics. The results are a range of full flavoured, tasty ales made from natural ingredients. Their beers have received rave reviews in the New York Times, Irish Times, Irish Examiner, Sunday Times, The Corkman, Food and Wine and Dubliner Magazines.
Bohemian Pilsner is an unorthodox lager with complex biscuity malt, soft rounded bitterness and a twist of spice from the noble Saaz and Hallertau hops. This crisp and adventurous drop is perfect for a chilled out summer session…bliss.
Originally a 2012 summer seasonal beer, it has been added to the core range due to its immense popularity – some would also argue that we are still waiting for our 2012 summer.
